Former cricketer Azeem Rafiq said ‘racism is not banter’ as he described the racist incidents he experienced during his time at Yorkshire Cricket Club – including hearing ‘constant’ racist language and being pinned down and forced to drink at 15 years-old, despite his Muslim faith.
In emotional testimony to a parliamentary committee he described racist behaviour as ‘constant’ and how ‘no- one stamped it out’.
WARNING: In his testimony, Azeem Rafiq uses offensive racist language to describe the abuse.
