The 20-year-old right wing scored in his second consecutive UEFA Champions League game giving Manchester City the decisive 1-0 lead early on. Manchester City went on to thoroughly dominate the first half, outshooting Marseille 6 to 1, and holding on to possession 67% of the half.

Continuing their dominance into the second half in the 76’ Manchester City doubled their lead with a perfect goal by İlkay Gündoğan, scoring his second goal in group stage action. Man. City went on to pad their lead some more with a Raheem Sterling goal in the 81’ and it would go on to thoroughly dominate Marseille, 3-0.
