Roy Keane reveals what scares him most about Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side. Roy Keane admits he is scared at just how far Manchester United have fallen after Jose Mourinho admitted fourth place is the best his side can manage this season.

Liverpool reclaimed the leadership of the Premier League with a 3-1 win at Anfield which came courtesy of two deflected goals from second half substitute Xherdan Shaqiri.

Jurgen Klopp’s rampant side amassed 36 attempts on goal and recorded a victory which moved them an astonishing 19 points ahead of their bitter north west rivals.

Speaking after Mourinho admitted Champions League qualification was the best he could hope for, Keane told Sky Sports: ‘The scary bit is when he talks and says they can finish fourth. This is Man United but that’s where it is, your eyes don’t lie to you.

‘If you came down from the moon today and knew nothing about football you’d say United are an average Premier League side. Nothing more.

‘They are Manchester United of the 1980s, they can be a decent cup team.’

Despite a disjointed performance, Mourinho opted to keep Paul Pogba on the bench throughout and Keane believes the club’s record signing from Juventus will be sold in the summer.

Paul Pogba’s days are numbered, they won’t sell him in January but he’ll move on,’ he added. ‘It’s no big deal, he’s left United before.’
